When I decide to make a film
When I decide to make a film (usually Super 8), what emerges is something episodic that also finds expression in the media I otherwise use (drawing, painting, environment, installation), and vice versa. The more or less consciously achieved parsing of the stills into picture sequences plays a role here (editing in film making). In their transitions, the stills achieved in this way function on the basis of chains of associations, at the ends of which a miniature emerges (the film).
